19th May 22. My partner and I dined with my two teenage daughters for birthday dinner celebrations. I worked at this restaurant 20 years ago so it was nice to go back and check it out. We were met by the new owner of only 4 years, and it was nice to see they've kept a lot of the menu items the same. We were seated opposite an open fire in the front room. We started with a cheese and olive focaccia ($10.50), some drinks for the girls and a bottle of Red Claw Pinot Noir ($69). For mains we ordered the lamb ragu with tagliatelle ($27), garlic cream prawns with rice and side salad ($29), pesto genovese with tagliatelle ($23) and a 250g eye fillet steak on the rarer side of med-rare with red wine jus, chips and salad ($42). Our means were lovely. The pesto could have had a bit more salt, but after my daughter added some parmesan cheese, she enjoyed it. The ragu was tasty. The prawns and my steak were cooked to perfection and were absolutely delicious. Another lovely dining experience. We'll certainly be going back.
